Had a very good turnout today for the race and bake sale. Lou's wife Shar, 2 sons Mark and Daryl, daughter Maria, brother Anthony and many other family members came out in appreciation. It was nice to see so many members of Lou's family and racing friends show support for what is now a yearly memorial race and bake sale in memory of Lou.
We started out the day with prayer and short chapel service put together by Daryl, Mick and Chick. Anthony's wife sang a beautiful song that she wrote about Lou & his relationship with God. Then later Chick's wife sang The National Anthem which literally silenced the entire track; something I've never witnessed before. Very nice!
If anybody wants any pics in their original size (or any size for that matter) just email and I'll get them right out. The group pic when viewed as a larger image shows who is who.

You bet Sandy, wish you could have been here too. Nice day as well and I have the sunburn to prove it! I'm in pain right now. It doesn't matter how old I get or much I know better. I always forget to put on sunblock eventhough I keep it my car!

Points racing is always on Saturday but there are some test and tune days at the beginning of the season which are on Sundays. GM vs Ford is always a Sunday race and there are a few Sunday dates each season for other special races. Everybody raced and when I left, Micky was still in it. I think it was just down to two cars but I had to leave because the sun literally wiped me out and I came home and crashed.
I'm still working on all the videos but unless I catch a second wind, they won't be up til tomorrow.

I can't believe all the baked goods that were there. That table would empty out and more would be loaded on it as more people came later in the day. What a good thing. I can't believe you guys left out of the group picture. bummer

I think the only reason Al lets me on here is because my son DAN owns a 67 Camaro.

Bryan I had that guy in the 2nd round. I was on the brakes and still broke out. Had a .71 dial and ran a .700 I just didn't brake early enough, had him covered by at least a foot or two, thought he was way off but the fact was my car picked up for some odd reason. I took a time run after that round an ran a 13.62 almost a whole 10th faster. Did you pick up in the 2nd round or third?

Al...not his girlfriend just a friend Lon I started to pick up in the 3rd round. left my dial alone, and raced the finish line only. That picture of Lou on my dash told me "dont change a thing" {so i listened} I still hear Lou telling me how to win.
