I agree...heat makes electronics break down when they're weak. I use to use a 'sub zero' spray to diagnose faulty electronic components which seemed to be sensitive to heat. It was very helpful stuff.
That the problem should arise with 4th gens is understandable. The LS1 puts out a lot more power stock than our L-98's & 305's. I would presume that most of those failures are with stock axles. I wonder...
